Apothecary

Blend: Chamomile, ginseng, licorice, ginger, mint leaves, lemongrass.
Source: Miss Linda’s Apothecary, Ozarks National Park.

This herbal tea is designed as a balancing blend—part calming, part restorative. Chamomile and lemongrass relax, while ginger and ginseng provide a subtle lift. Licorice soothes the throat and adds natural sweetness; mint cools and brightens.

Potential Benefits

  • Respiratory support (licorice + mint).
  • Digestive comfort (chamomile, ginger, mint, lemongrass).
  • Gentle energy without caffeine (ginseng + ginger).
  • Calming effect, useful in stress or illness (chamomile + lemongrass).

How I Prepared It
I brewed the tea hot, adding a spoonful of raw honey from a small local business. Honey not only rounded out the flavors but also offered its own antimicrobial and throat-soothing qualities.

Notes: This blend may not be suitable for everyone—particularly those with high blood pressure (licorice), medication interactions (ginseng), or blood-thinning concerns (ginger). Occasional use for wellness support is generally safe for most healthy adults.
